WisBlock Magnetic Switch – RAK13011

The RAK13011, part of the WisBlock Sensor Series, is a Magnetic Switch Sensor Module built with a reed relay and magnet. The switch contacts remain open until a magnet comes within 13 mm, at which point the contacts close.

It can trigger an interrupt whenever the reed relay status changes, making it an excellent choice for window and door security systems to detect intrusions. It is also widely used in industrial applications such as monitoring the opening and closing of safety doors or detecting object presence on production lines.

Both the reed switch and magnet are housed in durable ABS plastic and can be easily mounted with screws or double-sided foam tape. The design ensures immunity to interference from nearby electrical motors (within 5 cm).

Operating at 3.3 V with a single GPIO interface, and designed for a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C, the RAK13011 is a compact and reliable module with a size of 10 mm x 23 mm.
