Ultrasonic Sensor angoSense CS100 – RAK12007

The RAK12007, part of the WisBlock Sensor Series, is an ultrasonic sensor module built on the angoSense CS100 chip. This chip integrates an ultrasonic transmitter, an ultrasonic receiver, and digital processing circuits. The measurement results are provided in the form of pulse width output.

The detection principle involves an emitter sending ultrasonic waves and a detector receiving the reflected signals from an object. By calculating the travel time and the speed of sound, the object’s distance is determined.

With a detection range of 2 cm to 4 m, low standby current consumption of < 170 μA, and a 3.3 V power supply, the RAK12007 is well-suited for IoT applications such as robotics, smart security systems, level monitoring, and distance measurement. Its compact size of 25 mm x 48 mm allows for easy integration into various systems.
