The Soil Moisture Sensor Kit (RAK12023 + RAK12035) is an advanced solution for accurate soil moisture and temperature monitoring.
The RAK12023 serves as an interface module capable of connecting up to three RAK12035 probes simultaneously. Each probe is powered by the ATTINY441-SSU chip and uses a capacitive sensing method, ensuring greater durability and reliability compared to traditional resistive sensors.
A key feature of this system is that the calibration values are stored directly on the sensor element. This means once a sensor has been calibrated, it can be connected to any WisBlock Core module without the need for recalibration.
Data transmission is handled via I2C, providing a more stable and noise-resistant connection compared to analog signal-based sensors. This makes the kit ideal for applications such as:
