RS485 Module 3PEAK TP8485E – RAK5802

The RAK5802 WisBlock RS485 Module extends the WisBlock system with a reliable RS485 communication interface, widely used in industrial applications. Powered by the 3PEAK TP8485E, it converts RS485 signals into UART signals that can be processed by the WisBlock Core module.

It supports the RS485 Modbus protocol and allows connection of up to 16 RS485 nodes. With automatic TX/RX detection, no additional DE signal is required for the RS485 chip.

The RAK5802 provides robust protection with 18 kV ESD compliance (IEC61000-4-2), ensuring safe operation even in demanding environments. An additional I²C expansion interface is available through the crimping terminal for connecting external sensors.

Optimized for battery-powered applications, the module can be fully powered down by the WisBlock Core to minimize energy consumption. It also offers 3.3 V and battery power outputs to supply external sensors.

With its compact dimensions of 35 × 25 mm, the RAK5802 is an excellent choice for industrial IoT solutions that require secure and efficient RS485 communication.
