The RAK12001 is a fingerprint sensor module from the RAKWireless WisBlock Sensor series, powered by the GROW R307 optical fingerprint sensor.

During enrollment, the user places their finger twice on the sensor. The system processes the captured images, generates a fingerprint template, and stores it in memory. During matching, the sensor compares the presented finger with the stored templates to verify identity.

With a scanning speed under 0.3 seconds and a verification speed under 0.2 seconds, the module ensures fast and accurate biometric authentication. It uses a UART interface for seamless integration into embedded systems and IoT devices.
