The RAK11720 is a low-power dual-band wireless communication module designed for advanced IoT deployments that require both LoRaWAN® and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0). It integrates the Ambiq Apollo3 Blue System-on-Chip (SoC) — known for its ultra-low power consumption — and the Semtech SX1262 LoRa® transceiver, offering long-range, low-power wireless connectivity.
This variant of RAK11720 comes without an MHF connector, enabling direct antenna connection via an RF pad. It is fully optimized for 868 MHz ISM band operation (EU868, RU864, IN865), making it suitable for regulated deployments across Europe, Russia, and India.
With the same form factor and pinout as RAK3172, this module can be easily swapped or integrated into existing designs — no PCB redesign is needed. It’s an excellent drop-in solution for upgrading projects with BLE functionality while maintaining LoRaWAN support.
