Mini Base Board with Power Slot – RAK19009

The RAK19009 Mini Base Board is part of the new generation of WisBlock base boards, specifically built for compact, industrial IoT designs that demand flexible power and modularity. Measuring just 30 × 37 mm, it is ideal for space-constrained enclosures and embedded systems.

This base board supports one WisBlock Core module, one dedicated Power module, and two sensor/extension modules via Slot C and Slot D. The Core and Power modules mount on the top side, while Sensor modules attach to the bottom. Slot C supports modules up to 23 mm tall, and Slot D supports up to 10 mm.

The standout feature of the RAK19009 is its separation of power logic, handled by dedicated Power modules such as:

• RAK19012 – USB, battery, and solar panel power

• RAK19013 – Battery & solar only (no USB – secure firmware)

• RAK19014 – Non-rechargeable battery with USB

• RAK19015 – Non-rechargeable battery without USB

• RAK19016 – Supports 5–24 V DC input for industrial use

• RAK19017 – PoE (Power over Ethernet)

Modules are connected via high-speed board-to-board connectors that ensure signal integrity, even in high-vibration environments. The RAK19009 also exposes BOOT, UART, and I2C pins through two 2.54 mm pitch headers, enabling hardware extensions and custom interfacing.

To extend placement flexibility, the RAK19005 Sensor Extension Cable can be used to remotely mount WisBlock modules within an enclosure.
