Milesight WS302-868M – Sound Level Sensor with LoRaWAN® and A/C Weighting

The Milesight WS302-868M is an intelligent LoRaWAN® sound level sensor designed to measure and report environmental noise levels with high accuracy. Equipped with a built-in microphone, it can detect sound pressure levels across a wide range of 30 dBA to 120 dBA (and 35 dBC to 120 dBC), making it suitable for diverse applications — from workplace acoustics to smart city noise control.

The WS302 supports both A and C weighting, which can be switched via software, and includes Fast Time Weighting for quick response to noise fluctuations. It can measure and transmit various acoustic parameters, including SPL (Sound Pressure Level), Leq (Equivalent Continuous Sound Level), and Lmax (Maximum Level).

Using LoRaWAN® technology, the WS302 ensures reliable long-range wireless transmission with ultra-low power consumption. It is powered by two replaceable 2700 mAh ER14505 Li-SOCl₂ batteries, offering a battery life of up to 5 years when Fast Weighting is disabled.

The sensor includes a LED indicator for alarm and status notifications, and configuration is effortless via NFC or Downlink using the Milesight mobile app. The IP30-rated housing, made of flame-retardant PC+ABS, ensures reliable indoor performance, while its compact design allows for easy wall or surface installation using 3M adhesive or screws.

The WS302 integrates seamlessly with the Milesight IoT Cloud, Milesight Development Platform, and all standard LoRaWAN® gateways, enabling centralized monitoring, automated responses, and remote management for applications such as smart buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and noise compliance monitoring.
