The Milesight EM500‑SMTC‑868M is a high-precision sensor designed for long-term outdoor deployment in demanding environments. It measures soil moisture, temperature, and electrical conductivity and transmits the data wirelessly using LoRaWAN® technology, covering distances of up to 10 km line of sight. It also supports Milesight D2D communication for low-latency local interactions.
The IP68-rated soil probe is built with epoxy resin and stainless steel, making it corrosion-resistant and suitable for direct burial. The IP67-rated transceiver is made of durable ABS+PC material. A 2-meter cable connects the probe to the main unit, providing installation flexibility. It runs on a replaceable 19,000 mAh battery with a lifespan of up to 10 years, depending on region and transmission interval.
