Product Description Technical Details

The Milesight UC501-868M EA is the external-antenna version of the advanced UC501 Multi-I/O LoRaWAN® controller. It provides a comprehensive range of communication interfaces including GPIO, analog inputs (4–20 mA / 0–10 V), RS232/RS485, and SDI-12, enabling seamless integration with industrial sensors, measurement devices, monitoring systems, and automation equipment.

The GPIO ports support digital input, digital output, and pulse counting, making the UC501 ideal for flow meters, counters, switches, and relay control. With 12-bit resolution, the analog inputs deliver accurate measurement results. The RS232/RS485 port supports both transparent mode and Modbus RTU, enabling compatibility with a wide range of devices and industrial protocols.

Using the LoRaWAN® protocol, the controller supports OTAA/ABP Class A and Class C, providing long-range communication up to 15 km line-of-sight. Configuration is quick and effortless via NFC, USB Type-C PC software, or downlink commands.

For outdoor and remote environments, the UC501 EA is equipped with two rechargeable 2550 mAh 18650 batteries, a built-in 6V/1.7W solar panel, and the option to supply power through a 5–24 V DC input via M12 connector. The robust IP68 enclosure and weather-resistant M12 connectors ensure long-term durability against water, dust, and extreme environmental exposure.

Advanced software functions such as threshold alarms, change alarms, multicast (UC501 only), 600-entry local storage, data retransmission, and data retrievability guarantee reliable performance and prevent data loss.
