The Milesight UC501-868M Multi-I/O LoRaWAN® Controller is a powerful and flexible data acquisition device developed for modern IoT applications. It supports a wide range of sensors and equipment through GPIO, analog inputs (4–20 mA / 0–10 V), RS232/RS485 serial communication, and SDI-12 interfaces, enabling seamless integration of industrial and environmental monitoring systems.

The two GPIO ports can be configured via software as digital input, digital output, or pulse counter, allowing the controller to support flow meters, switches, relays, alarms, or pulse-based sensors with frequencies up to 4000 Hz. The analog inputs provide 12-bit resolution for precise measurement signals. With RS232/RS485, the device supports transparent communication or Modbus RTU, making it compatible with a wide variety of industrial devices.

The UC501 communicates using the LoRaWAN® protocol and supports OTAA/ABP Class A and Class C, enabling long-range wireless communication up to 15 km line of sight. It can be configured quickly via NFC, USB Type-C PC software, or over-the-air via downlink commands.

Thanks to its integrated 6V / 1.7W solar panel, dual rechargeable 2550 mAh 18650 batteries, and optional 5–24V DC power input, the UC501 is capable of long-term autonomous operation. Its heavy-duty IP68-rated housing and M12 connectors ensure complete protection from dust, moisture, and harsh outdoor environments.

Additional features include threshold alarms, change alarms, multicast (UC501 only), data storage for 600 entries, data retransmission, and advanced data reliability mechanisms. This makes the UC501 ideal for demanding IoT projects such as agriculture irrigation systems, weather stations, industrial monitoring, environmental sensing, SCADA integration, and more.
