The Milesight UC502-868M PN EA is the external-antenna version of the UC502 LoRaWAN® Multi-I/O Controller, offering optimized wireless performance and extended range. This versatile device supports a wide array of industrial and environmental sensors through its 2 × GPIO ports, 2 × 12-bit analog inputs (4–20 mA or 0–10 V), RS232/RS485 serial interface, SDI-12, and multiple sensor power outputs.

The GPIO ports are software-configurable to operate as digital input, digital output, or pulse counter, enabling use with flow meters, switches, relays, and alarm systems. The 12-bit analog inputs provide accurate measurement for industrial probes such as pressure, water level, soil sensors, and more. Through RS232/RS485, the controller supports transparent data transmission and Modbus RTU, making it compatible with SCADA systems and industrial automation networks.

The device communicates via LoRaWAN® (OTAA/ABP Class A) and supports long-range wireless transmission up to 15 km line-of-sight. Configuration is easy and intuitive via NFC, USB Type-C PC software, or downlink commands.

For power, the UC502 EA includes three 9000 mAh ER26500 Li-SOCl₂ batteries, providing extremely long operating time ideal for remote and off-grid applications. It also supports DC 5–24 V input via M12 connector. Its durable IP68-rated enclosure and M12 connectors provide full protection against dust, water, and harsh environmental conditions. The operating temperature range of –30°C to +70°C ensures reliable performance in extreme climates.

Advanced functionalities include threshold alarms, change alarms, local storage for 600 data entries, data retrievability, and data retransmission, ensuring no information is lost even under unstable network conditions.
