Product Description Technical Details

The RAK1903, part of the WisBlock Sensor Series, enhances the WisBlock system with precise ambient light measurement. It uses the OPT3001 chip from Texas Instruments, a highly sensitive light sensor with optical filtering designed to mimic the human eye.

With a measurement range from 0.01 lux to 83,865 lux, the RAK1903 is well-suited for applications such as greenhouse control systems, alarm and detection systems, and intelligent lighting control. Thanks to its strong infrared rejection, it provides accurate results even when installed under dark glass or in challenging lighting conditions.

The sensor operates at an ultra-low power consumption of just 0.4 µA to 3.7 µA, making it ideal for battery-powered IoT solutions. When combined with other WisBlock sensors such as temperature, humidity, or pressure modules, it can serve as part of a complete environmental monitoring system.

With its compact size of 10 mm x 10 mm, the RAK1903 is easy to integrate into a wide variety of applications.
