The RAK12003, part of the WisBlock Sensor Series, is an infrared temperature sensor module designed for precise, contactless thermal measurements. It features the MLX90632 sensor chip from Melexis, capable of measuring object temperatures between -20 °C and 100 °C.
For medical applications, it delivers an outstanding accuracy of ±0.2 °C in the narrow range of 35 °C to 42 °C, making it ideal for body temperature monitoring. The sensor is factory calibrated, offers a 50° field of view, a configurable refresh rate from 0.5 Hz to 64 Hz, and operates with an ultra-low sleep current of < 2.5 µA.
With its compact 10 mm x 10 mm size and 3.3 V – 3.6 V operating voltage, the RAK12003 is perfect for non-contact thermometers, IoT devices, temperature monitoring in industrial environments, and measurement of moving or hard-to-reach parts.
