Technical Details
The Dragino DS03A-LB is a robust LoRaWAN® door sensor developed for Internet of Things (IoT) applications, particularly in outdoor environments. It detects when a door is opened or closed and transmits this data via the EU868 LoRaWAN network to a designated IoT server.
The DS03A-LB reports open/close actions in real time and periodically uploads data every 2 hours. It also logs how long the door has remained open and the total number of openings. For bandwidth optimization, it can be configured to suppress real-time uploads and only send periodic summaries.
The sensor supports data logging during network outages and automatically uploads stored data once the connection is restored. An optional alarm can notify users if the door remains open beyond a configured threshold.
Built for long-term deployment, the DS03A-LB is equipped with an industrial-grade 8500 mAh Li-SOCI2 battery that lasts up to 5 years. The enclosure is weather-resistant and suitable for outdoor conditions. It also supports BLE configuration and wireless OTA firmware updates.
Each device is preloaded with unique LoRaWAN registration keys and auto-connects to the network after being powered on.
