The RAK13006, part of the WisBlock Interface Series, is a CAN Bus communication module designed for reliable data transmission in industrial and automotive IoT applications. It integrates the MCP2518FD CAN controller and ATA6563 CAN transceiver from Microchip.
The MCP2518FD communicates with the WisBlock Core MCU via SPI bus at speeds of up to 17 MHz, while the ATA6563 provides the physical connection to CAN bus lines. The module supports both CAN 2.0B and CAN FD, offering an arbitration bit rate of up to 1 Mbps.
It includes configurable termination resistors for CANH and CANL lines, adjustable via a slide switch, ensuring flexibility for various deployment scenarios.
