The RAK5801 4-20 mA Interface Module expands WisBlock systems with reliable support for sensors using a 4-20 mA output. It converts the current signal into a voltage that is digitized by the WisBlock Core module and transmitted via LoRaWAN®, LoRa® Point-to-Point, or BLE communication.
The module includes two 4-20 mA input channels and uses a high-precision operational amplifier to ensure accurate signal amplification and conversion. With a conversion accuracy of up to 0.1 mA (or 0.005 mA in its base specification), the RAK5801 is well-suited for applications requiring precise measurement.
It also provides a 12 V output for powering external sensors and supports 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire sensor types. The fast crimping terminals allow tool-free field installation, making deployment simple and efficient.
For reliability, the module integrates a 2 kV ESD protection and supports a low-power mode, allowing the WisBlock Core to completely power down the module to reduce energy consumption during idle periods.
