Technical Details
The RAK5804 WisBlock IO Extension Module expands your WisBlock system with multiple digital and analog interfaces. Through its three connectors, it exposes I²C, UART, USB, analog input, digital IOs, LED outputs, and a button input to your application.
When combined with the RAK4631 WisBlock Core, the module provides an interface to non-standard sensors and user interfaces, bridging them to LoRaWAN®, LoRa® Point-to-Point, or BLE communication.
All circuits are TVS-protected against electrostatic discharge, while an integrated PTC thermistor prevents output power overload by shutting down the supply in case of faults. Additionally, the 3.3 V supply can be delivered through the expansion connectors to power external devices.
The RAK5804 is especially suited for battery-powered applications, as the WisBlock system allows the module to be fully powered down to minimize energy consumption.
Compact at 25 × 15 mm, the RAK5804 is a reliable choice for IoT projects requiring extended connectivity and flexible integration.
