Product Description Technical Details

The RAK12052, part of the WisBlock Sensor Series, is a highly advanced thermal infrared array module based on the Melexis MLX90640. With a 32×24 pixel resolution (768 FIR pixels), it delivers precise, real-time thermal data in a compact format.

The module comes factory calibrated and integrates easily with WisBlock Core modules via the I²C digital interface. It includes an ambient temperature sensor (Ta) and a supply sensor (VDD), with all sensor data stored in internal RAM and accessible through I²C.

With a Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD) of only 0.1 K RMS at 1 Hz, the RAK12052 provides high sensitivity, enabling use cases from precision non-contact temperature measurement to person localization in smart buildings. Despite its powerful performance, it consumes less than 23 mA of current.
