WisBlock Base Board 2nd Gen – RAK19007

The RAK19007 WisBlock Base Board 2nd Gen is the improved successor to the popular RAK5005-O. With its industrial-grade design and compact size of just 30 × 60 mm, it serves as the main interconnection and power distribution board for WisBlock Core, IO, and sensor modules.

It supports 1 WisBlock Core, 1 IO module, and up to 4 sensor or extension modules via slots A to D. Slot D has been upgraded to support taller modules up to 23 mm and includes TX1/RX1 UART lines, while slots A–C support modules up to 10 mm. High-speed board-to-board connectors ensure signal integrity and reliability in environments with vibration.

The RAK19007 features a USB Type-C port for programming, debugging, and charging a 3.7V LiPo battery, as well as a connector for a 5V solar panel—ideal for remote or off-grid IoT applications. Power consumption is optimized via an electronic load switch, allowing WisBlock Core applications to control sensor power dynamically.

It also includes three 2.54 mm headers exposing BOOT, I2C, UART, and GPIO pins, giving you the flexibility to develop custom hardware interfaces. The board has two user-definable LEDs, a power/charging indicator, and a reset button.

Note: RAK5005-O will continue to be available while supplies last. RAK19007 provides improved functionality at nearly the same price.
