Technical Details
The Milesight WS202-868M is a smart PIR and light sensor based on passive infrared (PIR) technology that detects movement or presence within a range of up to 8 meters. The integrated light sensor measures brightness between 1 and 60,000 lux and works in combination with PIR detection to enable automated scene triggering — such as adjusting lighting or HVAC systems for energy efficiency.
The WS202 communicates via LoRaWAN® and supports the Milesight D2D protocol, allowing direct, ultra-low-latency communication with other devices even without a gateway. Compact and fully wireless, it operates on a 1650 mAh battery for up to 4.2 years, depending on configuration and reporting frequency.
Configuration is made simple with NFC connectivity through the Milesight mobile app. The flame-retardant polycarbonate housing, IP30 protection, and installation flexibility (3M adhesive or screw mounting) make the WS202 ideal for various indoor environments.
Fully compatible with Milesight IoT Cloud, Milesight Development Platform, and all standard LoRaWAN® gateways, the WS202 enables reliable motion and light monitoring in smart offices, homes, hotels, schools, and facility management applications.
