The Milesight EM400‑MUD‑868M is a powerful multifunctional ultrasonic distance sensor designed for fill‑level monitoring, parking space detection, and medium‑to‑large environmental sensing applications. With its 3 to 450 cm measurement range and 60° beam angle, the sensor provides highly accurate detection with a very small blind zone, making it suitable for various smart‑city and industrial IoT deployments.

It is equipped with an NTC temperature sensor and a 3‑axis accelerometer, enabling real‑time detection of temperature anomalies (e.g., trash fires), tilt status, and lid movement. The rugged construction — IP67 waterproof, internal moisture coating, and ABS + PC housing (UL94 V0) — ensures long‑term durability in harsh outdoor environments.

Powered by two replaceable 9000 mAh batteries, the EM400‑MUD‑868M can operate for more than 10 years depending on the operating mode. Its LoRaWAN® version includes three pre-configured operation modes tailored for different applications:
