Milesight EM400-TLD LoRaWAN ToF Laser Distance Sensor – 868 MHz

The Milesight EM400-TLD is an advanced Time-of-Flight (ToF) distance sensor built specifically for monitoring fill levels and detecting status changes in small trash bins and containers. With a 27° field of view and a detection range of 2 to 350 cm, the sensor offers near-zero blind zones, making it highly suitable for compact waste containers where precise measurements are critical.

In addition to measuring distance with ±2 cm accuracy, the EM400-TLD features a built‑in 3‑axis accelerometer to detect tilt or lid movement. It also integrates an NTC temperature sensor capable of identifying abnormal temperature rises — such as fires — for safety alerts.

Engineered for outdoor durability, the device offers IP67 ingress protection, an internal damp-proof coating, and a robust ABS+PC (UL94 V0) housing. Powered by two replaceable 9000 mAh batteries, the EM400-TLD can operate for up to 10 years, depending on network type and reporting mode.

The EM400‑TLD is available in two communication versions:
