Dragino MDS200-LB – 24 GHz Microwave Radar Sensor with LoRaWAN for Harsh Environments

The Dragino MDS200-LB is a highly reliable microwave radar distance sensor designed for dusty, wet, or difficult environments. Unlike ultrasonic or LiDAR technologies, the 24 GHz FMCW radar in this device accurately measures distances even when water droplets or heavy dust are present on the sensor surface.

It can detect two distances simultaneously – the nearest object and the next object behind it – ideal for complex layouts such as trash bins, smart parking systems, or material bins.

The device includes a configurable alarm mode, which allows for frequent reporting when the measured distance falls outside a preset range. Data is transmitted wirelessly over 868 MHz LoRaWAN®, and the device supports BLE setup and OTA firmware updates.

Powered by a long-life 8500 mAh Li-SOCI2 battery, the MDS200-LB is built for multi-year deployments with minimal maintenance.
